10.06.2010. "Ecost" Association together with Talpiot Mizrach Community Center (Matnas) starts a new project "Public Garden" – a cource of practical gardening for new immigrants who wish to develop and beautify their neighborhood and their city. The course is held every Thursday from 5:00pm till 7:00pm in a public garden on Kedushei Bavel Str. in front of a Clalit clinic. The course leader is Michael Kuman, a professional garderner having large work experience in Jerusalem.

1.06.2010. "Developing Jewish consiousness by studying ecology of Israel" seminars are held in Jerusalem Immigrant Community House (36 Jaffa Road Jerusalem) every second and forth Tuesday of a month, starting from May 11. Every seminar starts at 6:00pm. Leader of the seminar is Prof. Nonna Manusov.

1.11.2009. "Ecost" Association conducts a Course of Applied Botanics: growing plants in public gardens, on balconies, inside appartments as a part of the project "Ecological education for new immigrants". The instructor in the course is Tatyana Shimmel, the project manager is Prof. Nonna Manusov.
The course sessions will take place on Tuesdays at 6:00pm in Jerusalem Immigrant Community House (36 Jaffa Road, Jerusalem). The first session is on November 2.

26.06.2009. Prize giving ceremony to the winners of the contest “Jerusalem in Aliyah” 2009 took place on June 25. Two members of Ecost were among the winners: President Prof. Nonna Manusov and Prof. Anatoly Gordinsky. They received commemorative prizes and certificates of merit of the Ministry of Absorption and of Jerusalem municipality. Among the ceremony guests, there were the Minister of Absorption Sofia Landver, Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat, Managing Director of the Ministry of Absorption Dmitri Apartsev, and Deputy Mayor on Aliyah and Absorption Masha Novikov.

The Center of Ecological Systems ad Technologies ECOST was established by scientists and specialists who immigrated from the former USSR.

The Center works in the following fields:

1. Development and implementation of highly efficient projects and proposals in the field of ecology intended for solving the following problems:
   • purification and disinfection of natural and waste water;
   • processing and recycling of solid water;
   • strategy of sustainable ecologically oriented development of Israel and other Middle East countries.
